Company founder and owner Ian Ward has a passion for Aircraft especially sheet metal repairs. Since he grew up around aviation at Fairoaks Airport as a child he completed 15 years working at Mann Aviation, also based at Fairoaks Airport from 1990 progressing through the ranks in sheet metalwork and repairs. Founded VMI Engineering in 2006 specialising in Spitfire, he and his company have relocated to Bournemouth International Airport June 2023
